I agree that a true "Roadster" historically was a car with NO roof.

I have owned and driven two such roadsters for years when living in warmer climates. Up here I appreciate a snug roof for year round driving.

The ability to pop off the roof on nice days is a real bonus. Cool

However, most people accept the term roadster to mean any convertible car, or truck (The cool Chevy hard top convertible truck comes to mind, but not what it is called...)

All cars and drivers have always been welcomed by the Miata Club I believe so a change of name will not make much difference. I doubt the turkey's who drive some of the other 'verts will not be so interested in hanging with Miata people since they like to look down on us. That's ok with me. Wink I don't choose to associate with them either.

I do think it would be great to see the Solstice/Skye, Z3/Z4, S2000 and other sporty cars at club outings as we all share the fondness for fun, small, open cars.

It was called the SSR and didn't do so well in sales. So, are you interested in stripping the AKRC club Miata, I do need a place to "store" it for the beginning of the season.

I know, this is a hardtop but I think it should qualify to join the club and come along on our outings...

Besides it is a great car commercial too!
